It has been an amazing summer of weddings, travel, parties, some more travel and blissful days spent with family and friends. What have I not been doing? Blogging ! Bad I know, but in an effort to spend more time in the great outdoors I tried to disconnect from the web as much as possible. In the next few days I will be posting some real weddings that have happened so far this season.

I know I am a little behind on this amazing news but it has been a busy busy season so far !
As soon as I heard Miriam Haskell had teamed up with J Crew for their bridal jewelry I knew to expect greatness.
” The two companies have partnered to create a line of limited-edition jewelry to complement the J.Crew bridal collection.
Trading on Miriam Haskell’s history as a couture costume jeweler, the J.Crew collection draws inspiration and details from some of her vintage pieces.
These ornate, handmade-to-order pieces are as special as a bride wants to be on her big day. The materials used include baroque glass pearls, crystal rose montees, Swarovski crystals, gold-plated filigrees, and vintage materials taken from the Miriam Haskell archives.
These pieces range from the most ornate — a floral spray that hangs from a graduated triple strand of pearls for $1,400 — to understated, single pearl and crystal strands that range from $180 to $260, depending on their length.
Bracelets, brooches, and earrings round out the offerings, ranging in price from $150 to just under $1,000.” ( Compliments of StyleList.com )
Love these pieces !

So excited to host this Wedding Industry Tweet Up on March 31, 2010 !
Twitter has been one of those social network tools that though I had a hard time embracing is a unique and practically mandatory tool in this age.
I have met so many amazing people and have learned so much about my own business and connected with so many of my peers in the wedding/event planning industry
that I thought it would be a great idea to host a Tweet Up ( A Twitter meeting otherwise known as a Mixer) !
So many people I talk to during the day but have never meet in person ! Taking the cyber connection to a face to face connection is really important in developing working relationships.
Did I mention City Sweets is providing samples of her delicious cupcakes ?

So excited to share the Superhero themed party I threw for my lil hero’s second birthday ! What amazing day, the kids had such a great time and were exhausted at the end of the night ! Which is the best compliment because they truly played and played and played ! I wanted to go for a more grown up superhero theme since I am not a big fan of babied anything. I really love the way it turned out. For Part II I’ll share some of the awesome portraits Felix & Dexter took of the guests and the great superhero cut out pictures !
Here is some info on the vendors I used:
Photography : Felix & Dexter
Cake & Cupcakes: Nine Cakes
Signs/Invites/Stickers Design: Etsy Seller Announcing You
Reversible Superhero Capes: Etsy Seller AThingforSewing
Candy: Economy Candy and Dylan’s Candy Bar

Loved these inspiration boards from postcards and pretties, my fave is the retro valentine and the country valentine !
{season} valentine’s day
{colors} vintage white, rose water, twine
{description} this is my kind of valentine inspired wedding. it’s both romantic and casual and i’m simply in love with twine. i’ve kept the board pretty pale with the soft whites and cream with sweet rosey pink accents.
{season} valentine’s day
{colors} chocolate, rose, pearl
{description} for today’s board i was inspired by the heart-shaped chocolate box that is quintessential to valentine’s day but with more of a romantic feel with warm chocolate browns and soft rose and pearl accents.
