Your big day will be in the savvy hands of A–list planner Jo Gartin, who’s planned the nuptials of stars such as Kate Walsh and Tori Spelling, and now maybe you. Known for her impeccable style and unique ideas, Gartin will make your affair one to remember.

The Announcement

All entries must be in by 11:59 pm CST on March 31, 2010. Couples are encouraged to run their own marketing campaigns, as the 50 finalists will be those with the most votes. A panel that includes Jo Gartin, along with judges from Crate and Barrel and Daily Candy will then select a winner. We will notify the lucky couple and the 18 other winners and post all winners on crateandbarrel.com/ultimatewedding in April 2010.

The Celebration

The planning will begin once the announcement is made. Gartin will be at your beck and call to bring your Ultimate Wedding to life, from designing invitations, choosing a locale, and setting the scene to creating a menu, picking a band, and coming up with favors.

Words cannot describe the excitement with which I attended the Preston Bailey “Celebrations” Launch Party at the Armory!

What an amazing collection of the best in the industry and wonderful entertainment.  In addition to a wonderful array of desserts and passed hors d’oeuvres,by Oliver Cheng. There were two musical performances by Martha Wash of C&C Music Factory fame and Gloria Gaynor ( Who sang I Will Survive Live ! Quite  a rush).  The amazing lighting by Levy Lighting really set the tone for the hot and sexy vibe as did the beautiful decor.  Here are some pics from Guest of a Guest of the amazing event and Preston Baileys blog.  And although Preston Bailey is a superstar in the wedding industry he continues to be the most approachable and genuinely nice person I have ever met.  Just serves as a reminder that good things happen to good people and regardless of how talented  you are or how amazing you think your becoming nothing beats having people not only be fans but genuinely love what you represent.  Mr. Bailey stood at the entrance to his magnificent celebration and greeted everyone that came in, personally extending his hand and his embrace, dancing with his guests and enjoying the “Celebration” !

One of my all time favorite blogs is Design Sponge !

Now while this blog technically doesn’t have to do with weddings it really is a great source for out of the box inspiration on textiles, styling rooms and spaces and general do it yourself decor magic (though many times professionals are identified as well).

My husband thinks I’m crazy but I have this insane idea that one day I am going to flip properties in some southern state ( though I never plan on leaving NY, which makes this dream all the more unrealistic :0 ).  I love perusing thru all the posts on makeovers, gifts and general product finds.

So last night I was in power work mode and starting going through all of my things I love files and came across this Christian Oth (Shot by Michael Falco) wedding featured on Style me Pretty.  I seriously started daydreaming and got lost in the images.  I loved it months ago and fell in love with it all over again !  The design was so vibrant and beautiful I could not stop looking at them.

Another one of our wonderful couples Jeannie and Justin had a long distance planning relationship with us as they were based in Ann Arbor, Michigan while planning their wedding in NJ. Add to that relocating to NY, finishing a residency, starting a new job and an over 200 count guest list. This was one busy couple. ! They were wonderful to work with and the blending of cultures was so fun to see and be a part of. Oh and special thanks to David Swirsky of Expressway Music..You most definitely made my night !

Here are some images of a 40th Birthday Party we consulted on at the Cooper Square Hotel.  Pretty great night, friends from all over the world and a special Swedish pop band which was flown in specifically for the party to sign 80’s covers !

In our second stop of the day West Park Winery.  A true winner and the one we ended up choosing it had all the prerequisites, Different (Check !), Uncultivated ( Check !) Ceremony and Reception in both places (Check !) and a clean slate to make their own.
